ProScout’s DeFraites-the New Miley Cyrus?
(Los Angeles)-Move over Miley Cyrus! There’s a new singer-dancer-actress in town and her name is Michelle DeFraites. Personally, we remember her best from when she was first discovered at ProScout’s Orlando invitational… what seems like merely weeks ago, and now the 16-year-old is already being recognized worldwide for her exceptional talents.
DeFraites currently resides in Burbank, California. She quickly relocated to the west coast after being taken under the wing of ProScout favorite Chamber Stevens whose impeccable acting lessons helped her to launch her solo career.
Michelle was part of the ‘tween’ pop-singing sensations 4 Part Angel from 2005-2007. The group made appearances on both “Good Morning America” and “The Montel Williams Show”, and even toured around the Southeast to help raise the spirits of those who were affected by Hurricane Katrina. The teens were named “Kids of the Month” by www.amazing-kids.com for their outstanding efforts!
So far Michelle’s solo career has been successful… to say the least. Since teaming up with Chambers DeFraites has appeared in TV commercials for Wii’s Ultimate Band, Ener-g Gymnasts for Ubisoft, and most recently for Sony Free Realms. Her accomplishments don’t stop at just commercials, not even close! You may remember seeing her alongside Miley Cyrus in her video for “7 Things” or possibly in Justin Bieber and Usher’s mega-hit “One Time”? She also can be seen in advertisements for shopping malls across America and is Disney’s newest darling for voiceovers!
Speaking of Disney… in 2009 alone Michelle has made appearances on both “Hannah Montana” and “The Suite Life on Deck”.
Her newest project includes working alongside sensational music writer-producer Monique Roy of Regime Entertainment Group recording her very own pop songs. So far she has three soon-to-be hits: “Unbroken”, “Baby, I’m in Like With You”, and “You’re Breaking My Heart.”
Look out for Michelle in Lifetime’s 2010 movie “Pregnancy Pact”, where she will appear as one of four pregnant teens.
