ProScout L.A. / Orange County
Last time it was Boston, this week ProScout rocked Southern California. Taking over the Hyatt Regency Orange County, the young stars came out. Top agents, casting directors, & pro level talent managers got an eyeful.
Talent came in from all over California, LasVegas, Arizona, meeting over 40 different agencies from NY, LA, Europe, Japan. Highlights were top LA managers Margot Menzel from Management 360, Myrna from Myrna Lieberman Management, Betsy Sullenger (Disney film producer and partner in Oops Doughnuts (who btw just released “Escape To Witch Mountain” movie last month. Chambers Stevens had huge attendance for his signature acting workshop. Didiayer Snyder from Extreme Makeover Home Edition masterfully tweaked people’s personality output. Added surprises were a number of special appearances by several rising stars first discovered at ProScout; all young artists now commanding respect in the highly competitive LA/Hollywood market. Let’s meet a few.

Bridger Zadina, a Disney Movie Surfer, just had an Emmy submitted performance on Law and Order SVU episode.
Carlos Knight, recent winner of Young Hollywood Artists Award for ER, see him now on NBC's "Southland".
It was a weekend focused on “engaging the agents”. All the big agencies were present, ranging from Innovative Artists Los Angeles to Ford Models New York (over 40 in all). Whether you were a pint sized child or a 5′11″ female model pining for Paris, ProScout had the agents you needed.

Allison Stepka (from Carlsbad, shown below) returned, she was one of last years top callback females. Singing the praise of her manager JJ Cortez of MangagementFirst, she said the past year was overwhelming but it was "pretty much made easy" by the work he did. JJ architected for her a $100,000.00 contract deal; she signed with top NY /Paris agency Marilyn Models, and LA Models for the West Coast. Her first job appeared in Times Square NYC for Celebrity Jeans. Now that’s an A-List Debut. Congrats Allison, thanks JJ! (see photos below)

Another ProScout discovery, Drew Van Acker from New Jersey), was also visiting. Drew came from the Philadelphia event, he’s killed it in modeling in the East, he’s now breaking out in LA as an actor. He is fresh off a guest star role on ABC’s new crime series “Castle”; where he was murdered in Central Park. To prove he was very much still alive, Drew came ot visit his New York agent, Will Hill of B-1 Models. (Drew shown below)

As the Proscout Doorman I have the pleasure of seeing every participant at the events. The talent at the OC was awesome! There were so many great kids who received call backs. ProScout…YOU ROCK! I’m the mom of the California boy who got 17 callbacks (ummm, your pics above are short by one), and a daughter who got zero
But, we ALL learned a lot and appreciate all of the insight and thought put into the weekend. It was VERY well run and the ProScout Staffers were extremely encouraging and always helpful! Many, many thanks for Will’s kick-off into what will hopefully turn into a successful and fun career! YOU ROCK!

Even though I didnt get any callbacks, I had a lot of fun and learned alot from the experience and will definetely be there DEC 11 & 12 when it comes back to Orange County. This time I will be ready 100% and ready to collect my YES!!!!!

Just wanted to say that i was a little scared to attend the Proscout Event in Charlotte, NC this past weekend, but when we arrived and could see that this was NOT a scam, Bobby and I were both very excited. I am badge number 738, Sophia, I wanted to thank Proscout for a fantastic weekend in Phila 09. I am so thankful for that and look forward to my future as an actor/model. I am thirteen and adopted, along with my three other adopted brother and sisters. Didi, you taught me this weekend how to speak and walk with conidence. Chambers, you taught me what is truly important in this industry. I was wondering if I could be on the new show about finding your biological parents?
