JR Villareal

From near San Antonio, young JR and his sister Karolina were big hits at ProScout. They began working almost simultaneously, with Karolina snagging a Chevy commercial, JR with his own TV pilot (Senor White). JR went on a roll, with appearances on “House”, “ Cold Case”, “Strong Medicine”, “Without a Trace”, and “Ghost Whisperer”. He’s best known for his scene-stealing work on “Akeelah and the Bee” where he befriends Akeelah on her way to the spelling finals. His latest films are “House of Redemption”, and “The Death and Life of Bobby Z”, where he co-stars alongside Paul Walker and Lawrence Fishburne.
